Why a shopping list matters as much as the plan
Most clients don't stop following a plan at the dinner table. They stop at the supermarket, when the chicken, oats or vegetables the plan needs are not in the kitchen. A shopping list built from the plan closes that gap: the client buys once, for the week, and the food on the plan is the food at home.
Writing that list by hand means multiplying every serving by seven, converting cooked rice back to dry rice, and adding up ingredients across recipes. Diet in a Minute does that arithmetic for you.
How it works
- Build the day. Pick foods, tap servings and press Fit to target so the day matches the client's calories and macros. How the portion method works
- Make it a week. The weekly plan keeps the day's structure and swaps foods inside the same food group each day, keeping the macros close. Foods the client is allergic to are never swapped in.
- Press "Shopping list". The app adds up what the client eats across the actual 7 days, including the swaps, and turns it into amounts to buy.
- Send it. The list prints in the PDF with your logo and appears in the Shopping tab of the client's phone app.
What the shopping list does
1 week, 2 weeks or a month
Choose how long the client shops for, and every amount is multiplied for you.
Sorted by aisle
Vegetables, fruit, meat and fish, dairy and eggs, bread and grains, oils and nuts, spices and baking, so the client walks the store once.
Amounts you can buy
Weighed foods are rounded to grams or ml you can find on a shelf, rice and pasta are shown as dry weight, and oils in spoons and ml.
Recipes added up
A short "To cook" list shows how many times to cook each recipe, and its ingredients are added into the normal aisles.
Tick off and share
In the phone app the client ticks items as they shop and can share the list on WhatsApp with whoever does the shopping.
Arabic and English
Food names, aisles and the PDF follow the client's language, right to left in Arabic.
Where the client sees it
- The PDF: the shopping list starts on its own page, and each aisle stays together, so nothing is split between two pages.
- The client app: a Shopping tab next to the plan, opened from one private link with no download and no password. More about meal plans and the client app
- The weekly plan: a "Shopping list for this week" button sits right on the 7-day plan.
You still decide every food. The app only does the counting, so the list always matches the plan you approved.
Questions about weekly meal plans and shopping lists
How do I make a weekly meal plan with a shopping list?
Build one day with the client's foods and servings, turn it into a 7-day plan with daily swaps, then press Shopping list. Diet in a Minute adds up the week's foods and lists the amounts to buy by store aisle.
Does the shopping list include the daily swaps?
Yes. It counts what the client eats across the 7 days of the weekly plan, so swapped foods are on the list in the right amounts.
Can the list cover more than one week?
Yes. Choose 1 week, 2 weeks or 1 month, and every amount is multiplied for you.
Can the client use the list on their phone?
Yes. It is in the Shopping tab of the client's phone app, where they tick items off and can share the list on WhatsApp.
